what disk type to use

    if i use Mirror for Log Files and RAID5 for Data Files,what disk type should i use in computer management - Basic,Dynamic,GPT ?

    Faster as you can or your budget can.
    You have to consult to your hardware provider in order to fit server capabilities.

    i use HP SmartArray with 512MB cache.i use 2 disk in mirror for system,2 disk in mirror for Log Files,4 disk in Raid5 for Data.
    this is not concern my hardware provider i think,i'm talking about the server and sql side.
    what type of disk should i use?(Basic,Dynamic,GPT)

    Dynamic : for RAID disks

    Basic for non RAID

    GPT for windows 64-bit

    I believe this overlaps other question you have asked on format of disks, anyway having another information about database activity and transactions with future growth it may be useful to suggest which could be the best one to go.
