what is msdb.dbo.sp_sqlagent_get_perf_counters which eats my CPU ???

Dear All,

When i run profiler i could see lots of entry like :
EXECUTE msdb.dbo.sp_sqlagent_get_perf_counters
which takes lots of CPU and high duration to finish (more than 3000 ms)
i did lots of google search but couldn't find much information,
can u please guide me with this and how to aviod this which takes more time and cpu..
