I already set up Win2003 Cluster under Virtual Server 2005.<br />But I cannot continue install Japanese SQL Server 2000 Cluster on Virtual Server 2005.<br />Because get a warning message are "The specified account cannot be validated to have administrator rights on NODE2." An error occurred: (120<img src='/community/emoticons/emotion-11.gif' alt='8)' /> <br />But I use same account log in domain on two node, also have administrator role. <br />I verify this issue on English SQL Server 2000 Cluster on VS2005, it is no problem.<br />Why?<br />thanks!<br />

I can only assume that it is a "beta" issue. If you have not done so, you may want to notify Microsoft about this so that they are aware of the problem.

I ran into the same problem while installing English SQL 2000 on VS 2005 (not beta).

Maybe it's a wrong configuration or configuration difference. If I find the answer I'll post it.

I found an answer that worked for me:

It happened that the Virtual Server was on a machine that was not synchronized with the Domain Controller, and the VMs took the time from that machine instead of the DC.

There was a permissions error (the 1208 code) because each node could not see the other's shares which were needed to install SQL on each node.

After synchronizing the machine with Virtual Server to the Domain Controller, everything worked fine.
