How beneficial will it be for SQL Server 2000 to upgrade it's OS from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003 SP1?

    Any precaution when upgrading?

    Beneficial:
Not much I think but it's usually best to keep both OS and SQL up to date on service packs.

    Precautions:
If you use MSDTC there will be new security options after applying SP1 for Windows 2003. So verify functionality after upgrade.
