I have jobs set to send mail using xp_sendmail. The option @query, was executing a stored procedure that was extracting results from linked servers across the enterprise and emailing the results to users. The server was upgraded with OS patches from microsoft and after that the same job is failing with this message "Remote access not allowed for Windows NT user activated by SETUSER. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 7410). The step failed."
However, if the @query is a select from a table, it works fine. Has anyone found a solution to this. I have not seen any info on this and am hoping that some one who has come across this will help me solve this problem.
I am already running the job as 'sa'.

Try to execute the job on server manually.
Do not use SETUSER in the job steps it's by design that SETUser cannot be called remotely.
