Poor Paradox DTS Performance
Hello, I’m achieving really poor performance moving data from paradox to DTS. It’s only 10,000 records but takes several minutes. It also hogs the CPU aggressively. Any ideas? Moving data from and to SQL Server happens in a fraction of the time. Thanks, Kevin MunroMay check the version of the paradox driver and obtain relevant or latest driver for better performance. Ensure the Database has select/into bulk copy option marked in order to speedup the bulk-copy process. The fraction of time execution depends upon the server hardware and resources such as memory etc. Also when you run this DTS ensure no other scheduled jobs are running and processess are overlapping.
