Security related issue

Folks, I think I met a really strange thing lasting for a long time. Windows people keep calling recently to compliain that my system ID showed in their machine’s event viewer, they thought I logged in their machine to do some sql work. While the reality is that I never touch those machine, the only thing I can think to do is to de-register the sql instance from my local machine…… while what is the root cause? what is happening beaneath the scene, this happened to me before, I changed my password regularly. This also happened to my colleague. Any Recommendations?

Is there any dts package was running on those machines or accessing those machines create by you? Mohammed U.
If there any SQL instances on that machine you are registered to, then polling from Enterprise manager leaves the event viewre entry. Check EM to stop polling for that SQL instance. Satya SKJ
