Sureface area configuration error

we converted our databases from old server to new servedr and renaed the new server as the old one and shut down the old server.
when today i try to open the surface area configuration i am getting the following error: TITLE: Surface Area Configuration

Are you using Evaluation edition of Management Studio tools or using CTP of SQL 2005? Sound like permission issue too, you might try using local admin or similar privileged user in this case.
