Adding A New Disk To A SQL2K Cluster
I want to add another disk to a working sql cluster.the sql cluster is installed on S: drive .
when i try to backup/restore databases from the enterprise manager to the new drive , i only see s: drive . what should i do ?
Perform as follows to add new disk :
– Add the disk to a node and perform NTFS format
– Create a new ‘Physical Disk’ resource in cluster administrator
– Make SQL Server dependant on the new disk (in additional to the drives that it is already dependant on) To make a cluster resource visible to SQL Server make sure the disk drive in question is added to the SQL Server cluster group. Satya SKJ
