Any way to skip snapshot in merge replication?

Guys, I am considering to set up a merge replication. The issue is that the tables I plan to replicate are too big (~50GB) in total. I think that snapshot agent will take forever to copy them over to the subscriber. Is there a way to avoid this [i.e. maybe restore the database at the subscriber] and then somehow make the necessary tables part of the merge replication. Please advise Thanks a lot
You can backup and restore the databse or manually copy the tables and when you configure the subscription choose the option "Subscriber has the schema and data" to avoid snapshot…
