Approach to performance tuningHi ya, just want to try and gauge other people’s perception… My initial limit for any query is 100ms, anything higher and I suspect it as having room for improvement… what do others use as an initial benchmark? note not saying that 100ms is good, just that when I go into a site cold that is the first benchmark that I tend to use… after resolving all of the +100ms queries, I then analyse the rest by running a longer trace and summing cpu/duration to see which are cumulatively the most resource hungry… interested to hear other people’s approach Cheers
I have the same approach. After that I change to +40 and, in different trace, +100 cpu.
