Clustering Using SQL 2000 Standard Edition

Hi: Could someone please give me a definitive answer, if one exists, as to whether or not SQL 2000 Standard Edition can be set up in an active / passive clustered / HA environment? We are currently using Windows 2000 Advanced Server with Windows Clustering, and SQL 7 Enterprise Edition in an active / passive setup. Our customer wants to upgrade to SQL 2000, but only wants to pay for Standard Edition. Everything I’ve seen so far says that SQL 2000 Enterprise Editions is required for clustering, but I need to make sure there isn’t some type of workaround using Windows clustering and SQL 2000 Standard Edition before I definitively tell them they need to pony up and spend the $$ for Enterprise Edition. Thanks!!
Enterprise Edition is needed.
