Connection to Oracle

This is a newbie question. I’m starting a new DTS package. I click and drag the Microsoft ODBC drive for Oracle to the IDE. I enter the inforamtion and click okay. I received this error dialog box: Title = Package Error Text area Error Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Driver Error Description: [Microsoft][ODBC driver for Oracle][Oracle] What does this mean? This is all the information that is displayed. Oracle is 9i (I think) and SQL 2000 using Windows XP, local PC
Do you have the proper ODBC driver that you are using in the DTS on the client machine? That is similar as the one on your server (oracle) and also you may need the oracle client. Satya SKJ
