Hi everyone, I just begin studying about Analysis Services. It seems SQL Server 2000 doesn’t support creating a DW, is that right? Does SQL Server 2000 only help analyze data? No that is not right, as a matter of fact SQL Server 2000/2005 comes with an arsenal of tools for creating and populating datawarehouses/datamarts. Analysis Services is only a component for Analyzing data from a warehouse/mart through Cubes or Mining Models. It is the layer that sits on top of your datawarehouse.
