Can any one point me in the right direction to deploying SQL Server Reporting Services for 2000? I am a newbie who was given a very short time frame for creating a reporting solution for our organization. I have the following questions. 1) How to I get the full version? I can find the EVAL on Microsofts site, but I don’t know where to get the full version. I have a SQL Server 2000 license. 2) I already have reporting Services running on my local box. I have the databases for reporting services setup on my live SQL server database machine. When I go live I want to have my reports run from my Web Server and not my box. Do I just install reporting services on my web servers? How do I then publish my reports on that web server? Any help you can provide me is greatly appreciated.
yes, if you get the CD or if you can get MS to send you the installation stuff, go to the server and install "Server" options, then when you open the dev environment, right click your project and go to properties, under targetserverurl, put in the webserver’s URL likehttp://SERVERNAME/ReportServer only replace the servername, it needs to have the "/reportserver" at the end, also fill out what you want the target folder to be, then assign rights to the users, there is a bunch of different settings you can go through, shouldnt take too long Joe Janka
