disk allocation unit (disk clusters) for sql perf

Hello all, We have a Windows 2000 Adv server cluster. The default allocation units for W2K server is 4096 bytes. SQL Pages are 8060 bytes. What are the performance consequences of leaving the disk clusters at the default, and should every DBA change it to 8K ?? Thanks

If I remember correctly 8K is prefered but you might get more responses on this if you post in this category: Performance Tuning for Hardware Configurations
