DTS Package won’t run when scheduled

I have a DTS package in SQL2000 that works fine when I run it manually (Right click-exectue package) but when I schedule it to run it fails every time, at schedule or if i right click-start job same results. Server agent is running, other scheduled jobs are running fine. I am at a loss and would welcome any ideas. I have tried recreating it, making it from the scheduler end…

Jim: According Microsoft errors:
Configuration option ‘%ls’ changed from %ld to %ld. Run the RECONFIGURE statement to install. If this where the razon, run sp_configure from SQL Analyzer and see if there is any value in configured but not running yet.
If there is something, run RECONFIGURE from SQL Analyzer, and may be you must down and up SQL server. BTW: Try to install sp3a
