Active Directory Link to SQL 2000

<br />I’m trying to link our Active Directory to SQL 2000. Read lots of procedures from microsoft site, but to no avail, I still cannot link it to SQL [V] <br /><br />How come I have this error?<br /><br />An error occurred while preparing a query for execution against OLE DB provider ‘ADSDSOObject’. <br />OLE DB error trace [OLE/DB Provider ‘ADSDSOObject’ ICommandPrepare:<img src=’/community/emoticons/emotion-4.gif’ alt=’:p‘ />repare returned 0x80040e14].<br /><br />I did already all the following:<br /><br />-From EM under the properties of the linked ADSI server click the security tab and select impersonate user and enter a domainusername and password.<br />-be made using the security context (domain username and domain password)<br /> <br />When I used the Domain Administrator Account, I got this error message:<br /><br />OLE DB provider ‘ADSDSOObject’ reported an error. The provider indicates that the user did not have the permission to perform the operation.<br />OLE DB error trace [OLE/DB Provider ‘ADSDSOObject’ ICommandPrepare:<img src=’/community/emoticons/emotion-4.gif’ alt=’:p‘ />repare returned 0x80040e09: The provider indicates that the user did not have the permission to perform the operation.].<br />
