Have you already looked at the software review section here? I would guess there are third party tools available. —

Hi, Thank for the reply, I found some
third party tool that can do so but
quite expensive. They are some like
SQL Shield and Netlib Encryptionizer I think there should be some free tool
around.
if you find one, let me know. I’m also looking for one <img src=’/community/emoticons/emotion-1.gif’ alt=’

Probably you’ll find some links on www.sqlsecurity.com —

..but beware ‘Free’ means there will be ways to hack the tool too.
Do not implement them in the production environment, rather tighten the security on the database access. Satya SKJ

Hi Satya, Thank for the advise.
I don’t believe all ‘free’ mean hackable.
After all, what do we expect when it is free. If not, anyone know of the way how SQL server
view/trigger/function & stored procedure native encryption work,
so that I might look into creating one myself. Any advise on this area is very much appreciated. Thank you
As long the tool is available on open source I will not say the above, if not I’m sure you’re restricted to use on certain levels.
Refer to Smy’s article and for more information on crytping reviewhttp://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d…-us/security/security/cryptography_portal.asp &http://www.dbazine.com/sql/sql-articles/larsen2 links. HTH Satya SKJ

I am familiar with cryptographic procedures, i want to know how SQL encrypt the statements, hook the dll so I can use my own instead of the SQL. If you have any documentation about this, i’ll appreciate it. May the Almighty God bless us all!

I don’t think there is any documentation about that publicly available. So, it’s likely that you’re on your own with that. —
