Any good SQL Server 2000 book?

Any good SQL Server 2k book for a newbie? One for beginner to intermediate for future DBAs. I want a book that is good for reference and shows how to build a database from a ground up with a real life example(s) throughout the book. I don’t know if there are any like these, but i’ve seen books on other topics where they create a situation which a boss asks an employee about an issue and how to solve it. The employee then goes about creating the project and finishes it in the end. We get to see the process of how the employee develops this project from start to finish in book. Anything like this in SQL Server 2000 books? Thanks
From a DBA perspective, I highly recommend the following two books, see these urls: SQL Server 2000 DBA Survival Guide

From a SQL Server developement perspective, I highly recommend these two books, see these two urls: Professional SQL Server 2000 Database Design

I don’t know if they will exactly provide what you are looking for, but they are some of the best currently available.

I have seen your question in other forum too, the tips confered by Bradmcgehe are certainly valuable. As a first hand help you can have a glance at Books online which comes along with SQL installation. In depth of knowledge can get from the above links and for informal you can read thru BOL.
