Backup Log – doesnt it create multiple trn files?

If I use a maintenance plan to create transaction log backups I get nice TRN files with time stamps.

If I manually do a TL backup to a file using ‘Backup Log’ I get all the transaction log files in a single backup device.

I am curious as to the command I should use to backup to create multiple TRN files – is it possible?

I am sure it is blindingly obvious but for the life of me I can’t see how…

Thanks

EDIT: And it is blindingly obvious! I was backing up to a device instead of to disc…somebody shoot me…. []
From the enterprise if you select that database and choose restore, then select this device you can see the list of Transaction log backups. Refer to BACKUP & RESTORE topics in BOL. Satya SKJ
