Bad user name

Hello, When I tried to connect to QA analyzer using my login, I was being alerted by following error message: "Logon Failure: unknown username or bad password."
I was given all rights on the server and please advice me how to overcome this error and i need to connect to QA using my login. Regards

1. Try login from some other computer to SQL Server.
2. Check connectivity to SQL Server.
3. Are you sure you are entering right password.
4. On SQL server check if your login still exists [or deleted by someone bymistake] Deepak Kumar –An eye for an eye and everyone shall be blind

Hello, I checked everything its fine.. I have a doubt how to add a login to a "security access" –> "Through Group membership ". I found my login under this .Whether this might be a cause for this login failure. Regards

Depends on whether they granted database access to your network login, or created an SQL login. On the login screen for QA, select Windows Authentication if the network login has access, or SQL Server Authentication if it is a SQL login
