builtinadmin

Hi Everyone,
I’m new here so please bare with me while I learn.
What is the builtin/admin account ? Who should use and when ?
Thanks
BuiltinAdministrators is the same as YourServerNameAdministrators group on the Windows machine. If you don’t want NT admins to be sysadmin on your SQL Server you can remove it but you need to follow some steps not to break a few things: INF: How to Impede Windows NT Administrators from Administering a Clustered SQL Server

True and I assume you are removing to prevent that have administrative rights on that sever from also having SysAdmin rights to the databases. No harm in removing and make sure you have added
you NT login as a SQL Administrator.
