cannot register server

I had replication just 1 week ago and remove it to resolve network issues.
Now when everything is done, I cannot even register that server
even though I am able to ping it from my computer.
Please help

Try create an Alias using the tcp/ip in clent network utility for that server which you want to register and then register the server.

Check the SQL Error log for information and try to recreate the replication again. _________

I tried network utility still doesn’t work.
Look like port is closet.
I will go there to check if all services are runing
what else can i check to make sure that port is open

Try ping the server from your computer with odbcping exe. It’s on the SQL CD. Try both by name and IP and see what it say. /Argyle
