Cluster Help!!!

Hi All, Can I use a single shared drive to configure 2 cluster of Oracle and SQL server? Let me explain my question a little but. 1) I have 2 Servers attached to a SAN box configured on Cluster (Active-Passive).
2) I have installed SQL and Oracle servers on each Server attached to the SAN box.
3) Lets say SQL server fails on Server A but Oracle is still working fine on Server A, Will there be a Failover? Thanks in Advance

SQL Server and Oracle clustering are completely different and are not compatible. If your SAN be be divided up so that the applications are physically independent of each other, then you should be able to run each cluster separately and independently. But if your SAN is small and you are not able to divide the drives so they are separate, then you can’t use it to support both types of clustering. ————————————————————–

… also this will not be supported by MS PSS as clustering policies are very specific to use only SQL in thsi case. Satya SKJ
