Collation Settings

When creating databases we have the collation setting set to "COLLATE SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS". We recently had a customer request to use Latin1_General_CI_AS. I have not been able to find much documentation regarding these settting and their differences. Can anyone give me any information as to their differences and where there might be some good documentation? Many thanks, Tyler
Check the BOL topic "SQL Collation Name" they two different sort orders… http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms180175.aspx

Have you seen any issues with appilcation lately, with that collation difference?
See this KBAhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/322112 and I don’t see any issue between those 2 collation settings in data managebility unless you are using UNICODE data. Satya SKJ
