Connecting to SQL server instance in Ms Virtual PC

Hi all, i have setup virtual PC with win2k3 and sql2k5. i cant connect from the local Pc or from any other PC to the SQL instance on the VPC. Connection to the virtual machine is working fine.
Any ideas someone AKTHAR
add it to the domain or the same workgroup.
open port 1433 in your firewall.
check for allowed protocols in surface area configuration. _______________________________________________

the vpc is in the domain.
i can telnet the vpc on port 1433 AKTHAR
have you installed it with mixed mode authentication? can you connect to it using sa user? _______________________________________________

One of the technet article refers:
Add a loopback adapter to the machine, bind the Services for Virtual PC to it, set the IP address to the same range as the IP address of the virtual server, edit the virtual server properties so that its network connection is bound to the loopback adapter rather than the internal network. Satya SKJ

I have tried both MIXED and Windows Mode AKTHAR
