Could not find installable ISAM

Dear All, I’ve got one excel file with name test in c drive (c: est.xls). That sheet has got two columns No, Name with some records. Now, I want to select that records,i.e. from excel sheet in sql statement. I’ve used OPEN QUERY , OPEN DATASOURCE etc. functions, but the following error is coming: OLE DB provider ‘Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0’ reported an error.
[OLE/DB provider returned message: Could not find installable ISAM.]
Can any one help out to sort this problem?
