Create diagram permissions
Does anyone know what permissions or role membership is required to create database diagrams? I have looked in BOL but it doesn’t seem to say anything on this subject. TIA Tom PullenDBA, Oxfam GB

I suppose if you use Visio to create the diagrams/models you will not need the cumbersome "workaround" suggested in the KB article. You also have more options in terms of formatting and printing the diagrams. Nathan H.O.

Yeah, I don’t currently use Visio but I have in the past, I gather it has improved vastly since older versions? Tom Pullen

May search VISO homepage http://www.microsoft.com/office/visio/default.asp for more details about the product. And from VISIO 2K its compatible with SQL Server. (I’m not aware Visio 2003 is available, thanks for your thread which lead me to find out source) _________
