All of a sudden all the databases under the SQL Server Enterprise Manager have disappeared. Any idea why and how to get them back? I ‘m on SQL 2000 with SP3
If you use SQL Analyzer, all databases are there?
The SQL Server group might have been deleted. You just have to register the available server again. Right-click on "Microsoft SQL Servers" from Enterprise Manager and click on the "New SQL Server Group…". Jon M
In the morning I had changed the status of some of the databases to DBO Use Only/Offline and probably they were the ones causing the grief. Finally I had to change their status from offline to online and things started working.
Better to avoid such practice on a production server and it will take resource if its a ongoing process with many databases. Satya SKJ
