DB failure?

Hi,
I am seeing the following error message in SQL Server Log.
Could not open FCB for invalid file ID 49243 in database ‘BWDB’..
I am running a DBCC CheckDB on it but possibly it will take a while, as the database is over 100 GB in size.Does anyone know what else could have caused this?
