DBmail using SMTP

Hi Everyone, I just set-up DBmail in SQL Server 2005 to get the notifications about my scheduled jobs. It works fine some email accounts but the DBmail is not sending notifications to some of the email accounts in my team. If anyone encountered similar situation and found any solutions please share with me. Thanks, Bhushan

I’d be interested to know what the problem is as well. In the meantime, possible an alternative solution would be to get an email group set up on your email server (exchange?), and have your alerts sent to the group. That makes it easier to add/remove people? Panic, Chaos, Disorder … my work here is done –unknown
check the Mail log. You can identify whether if there are errors —————————————-

I checked the mail log and it has "Databasemail process is started". It doens’t show any error on log file but I haven’t recieved any email from Database mail at all if I use my office email address (SMTP). If I give the yahoo mail address I got the notification from SQL Server. Is that mean, I have issues with my office email address in SMTP and if it is true how I am getting my regular emails everyday then. Its a little puzzle to me. Thanks,
