DBO as object Owner

Hi All, Do anyone has any best practices on maintaining dbo as the Object Owner for all the user databases??
If you have any do’s and dont’s of using dbo as object owner,please share.
In my current organiztion, we are using a different userid across various environments like Developement, Test and Live and m planning to consolicate everything to 1 universal ID.
How feasibile is this plan? Thanks
