Did not install IISWe are setting up a new SQL server database and will use an IIS midtier server, during the install of SQL Server, I did not install the IIS server. Wsa this a mistake, will I no have web functionally and should I reinstall? Thanks
What web functionality are you referring to? The only reason 2005 needs IIS is you are running Reporting Services on the same box. You don’t need IIS to set up 2005 HTTP endpoints. —————————–

There’s no problem with not having IIS installed on the server.
Thnaks a bunch guys!!!!
You might think about tightening the security on SQL server in this case and use WIndows authentication whereever necessary. Satya SKJ
