Drive format: 64-bit Blocks?

I’m getting ready to install a new SQL2000 box and was wondering if I format the drive in 64-bit blocks, if it would reduce my I/O counts?
Usually SQL performs better with 64kb blocks, however, something I have discovered in the last two days is all the defragmentation software only works on drives configured with 4k clusters. So you won’t be able to defrag your drive after you format with 64kb. If you are setting up the databases and making sure they won’t need to grow and turning autoshrink off, then this shouldn’t be too big of a problem. Just something to think about. Michelle
Unlike Windows 2K internal defragmenter,"Norton Speed Disk 2002" will defragment an NTFS volume with 64KB clusters.
