Error in Registering the Server

Dear Friends, I have installed SQL Server 2005 in my Stand by Server. Standby Server is on same domain.Now when I am regestering My Stand by Server from the Production Server..It is giving error…. Testing the registered server failed…Verify the server name, login credentials, and database and then click test again.
Additional Information:
A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error ocured during the pre-login handshake. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may ba caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 233. But I registered Production Server from Standby Server Successfully. What is missing from my side…Please guide me. Thanks…
