HI Changing recovery model from full to simple

Hiii My transaction log sized to a 6 gb size and the DB was in full recovery model .what i done is i changed the recovery model to simple and shrinked the transaction log and after shrinking i again put the DB into full recovery model and it worked the log files was reduced to few MB . i just want t o know that in this situation is there any possiblily of data Loss now i have done that and i am really concerned about is there any data loss as out DB is 24/7 database pls help me !!!!
There will be no data loss due to shrinking as it removes only the inactive entries from transaction log. But the phase during the simple recovery mode can be a matter on concern. I suggest u to take full database backup during such operations. Also u can schedule the database maintenance activity to regularly shrink the database size. MNK.
For any operation of changing recovery models, its always suggested to take full backup so that the data would be safe enough if any failure occurs. Satya SKJ
