How can I increase SQL Server2005

Hi friends,
Two weeks ago, I bought new server machine and setup Windows 2003 Ent Edit. Sp1 and SQL Server 2005 Sp1. Then, I copied Sqlserver 2000 databases to new server and attached db by using T-SQL. My new machine conf.
HP DL580 – 16 Gb Ram, 4xCPU
; 5 x 146 GB HD Raid-5 on HP MSA1000 SAN How can I increase SQL Server performance by using SQL SERVER Proporties/ Option.? Notice: * On this sql server2005, there are a lot of Insert, Delete, Update transactions and selects for reports.

What memory setting do you have?
The databases was compatibles with 2005?
2005 use tempdb a lot, is a good idea to put it in faster disks.

Thaks Luis, When I look at VM properties on C disk, I saw the our server Virtual Memory setting ;
Initial Size = 2048,
Maximum Size = 4092.
on C disk. Sql Server 2005 was installed on C disk. (Tempdb at the local server disk that
C:program FilesMicrosoft SQL Server 2005 Standart x64MSSQL.1MSSQLData) Is it enough if not what can I do ?
