How to automate DB backup/restore ?

Hi,
am relatively new to DBA activities. Can someone tell me how to schedule a job which will help in DB Backup & Restore?( total of 7 databases from Live server to Reporting Server – both servers running SQL Ver 7.0). Do i need to write some T-SQL script to do this job? thanks
