How to remove sql express version ?
I had installed the sql 2005 developer version at my pc then i install the ms visio studio 2005 at the same pc. I discover that the pc have 2 instances been created: a)servernameb)servernameSQLEXPRESS May I know who to get rid off the instanace for the "servernameSQLEXPRESS".

Yes – go into add/remove programmes. Chose SQL Server Database Engine, and during the uninstall it will prompt you whether you want to uninstall SQL Server or SQL Server Express. It’s a pain in the a**. I had this very issue on a developer’s PC last week, was trying to install the Tools and it kept telling me I couldn’t because a lower version was already installed – it was pesky Express Manager that he’d installed from the MSDN CD. It wasn’t until I’d got rid of the Express garbage that I could actually get Management Studio etc on.
