HP DL 380 G4 vs. HP DL380 G1

Hello, we have to buy new server, we intend HP proliant DL 380 G4, 2 x XEON 3,2 Ghz, 800 Mhz, Mem 530 Mhz for database server MS SQL 2000. Currently we work with DL 380 G1, 2×1100 Mhz, 133 Mhz.
The new server should be sufficient for about 3 years. I can estimate the amount of data, but I don’t know how to compare the performance of these two servers. This year we had several times problems with performance of CPU and related subsystems (not with disks).
How can I compare the performance of G1 and G4 ? Martin
spec int base is probably the easiest (www.spec.org)
the difference between the PIII-1000 and a Xeon 3.2 is probably around 3X however, depending on what you are actually doing, some ops will gain by more, others less,
and all of this assumes you are really cpu bound,
