import and export wizard to load data

Hi,
this should be very simple question regarding the import and export job to copy data to another table
I have table and has datatypes char [source table] and destination table has datatypes varchar.
so, when i run the import/export job to copy data to destination, would white space from source table will copy to destination folder?
OR, should i use different method to copy data?

Why to worry about the white space, the number of bytes occupancy between char and varchar is handled internally.
BTW do you see any big changes to the table size when itis copied?
