Importing Data From Excel

Hi, When I am importing data from excel into a table using DTS utility Import Data From SQL Server Enterprise Manager what are the options I should select?
Should the format of the Excel cells containing the data and the datatype of the columns be the same?
If one of the columns in the table is an Identity column should I write those values also in the Excel Sheet?
In addition if i’m inserting NULL values should I write "Null" in the corresponding Excel cells? Thanks,
