Installating Application with SQL Express

Guys,
i am getting this error when installaing an application running with SQL Express.
"System.reflection.targetInvocationEexception…" the specified service does ot exist as an install service… any help please AKTHAR

What application you are installing?
Based on the info you provided, I don’t think it is sql related…

its a MCafee Spoftware that runs on SQL Server or SQL Express. Infact i can connect to the Server, but i get an error when the installation start creating database in SQL Server

Are you creating the db from application?
Did you try creating the db from Query window/ssms? MohammedU.

Why don’t you stop the McAfee until the SQLExpress is installed successfully, I have seen many questions where AV is culprit to disturb the installation. Fyi similarhttp://www.kasev.net/blog/ issue with Biztalk in this case, also better to check whether .NET framework is installed properly. Satya SKJ

i tried to create a db with the same user in query windows and it works fine.
It seems that when the installation is trying to create the DB that it give the error msg AKTHAR

no AV is install in the Server when i am installng this application. AKTHAR
So still you have same issue on the server, then check the installation log in this case. Satya SKJ

Just checking, have you attempted to update the windows operating system with recent hotfixes or not. For me it looks like the service hasn’t been installed properly to restart at that point of time. Worth going through all the availble logs on that server including network ones. Satya SKJ
