SQL Server Performance Forum – Threads Archive

Log file get Full every hour

the database size is 28 Gig, the log file goes to 65Gig every hour
I backup the log file and shrink it down to 100 MB, after one hour it goes
to 65 GIG again…
somebody knows what’s going on?

Check your application if all transactions are properly committed. I’ve seen this issue before and I know there is a KB article related to this. But unfortunately I can’t seem to find it right now. Probably a massive dose of coffeine will get my memory running and I’ll post the link when I find it. —
