log shipping from 64 bit sql cluster to 32 bit sql

does anyone know of any potential issues of log shipping from a 64 bit sql 2005 cluster to a 32 bit sql server 2005 instance? thanks

I have not done this but restoring 64 bit db to 32 bit is supported… Logshipping simply automates the log restore job, so I don’ think there will be any issue.

Log shipping might work but you might get intermittnet timeout due to the x64 & 32 bit SQL applications, but I would like to know why you want to perform from a SQL Cluster instance to normal SQL instance. Satya SKJ

I will be log shipping from a 64 bit cluster to a 32 bit server. Hope that answers your question.
Then it should work purely on the basis of log shipping as there isn’t much changes to transaction log architecture between 32 & 64 bit. Satya SKJ
