logshipping monitoring jobs

We alredy have configured logshipping here . The issue here is that we want to detect Each time a log is received (detected), a job on the DR box could write to a table the log file name and `received’ and each time a log is restored, a job would write to the table for that log file, `restored’. We’ll also need monitoring jobs to check for when this gets too far behind (ie: There are 10 logs waiting to be restored on DR node \blah" or "No logs have been received for 3 hrs on DR node \blah"). I wanted to know where i could find this or is it possible
Why you want to invent the wheel as you have the log shipping monitor in this case? Satya SKJ
