Maintance Plan

I am gettig following error when I ran Maintance plan? Executed as user: serverAdministrator. sqlmaint.exe failed. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 22029). The step failed.
There is a lot of reason for that message.
For example if you maintenance plan include index rebuil and databas is in use, same error.
So, check if database is in use or other job is running.
