MAPI ERROR

For some reason I cant get SQLMail or Agent Mail to work on one of my servers. I have intalled an uninstalled Outlook, created and recreated Mail Profiles set at default. I am<br />working with 2000 sp3a. I get the following error when I test the mail service <br />ERROR 1805<img src=’/community/emoticons/emotion-12.gif’ alt=’:x’ />p_test_mapi_profile<br /><br />Cheers!
Agent service is running as local administrator Cheers!

Never used linux mail server, make sure the account used to configure mail profile with Linux has necessary privileges on SQL Box. Satya SKJ

On the SQLBox, log in with the account that SQL/SQLAgent are running as. Whilst logged in at the console make sure that you can use Outlook to send and receive email. If you can do this, then SQLServer should be able to as well. Usually easiest to have SQL and SQLAgent both running under the same account (and both NOT as a local/domain administrator) Cheers

May also try restart SQLAgent service to test the profile.
The SQL Mail feature of SQL 2K does not work if Outlook 2000 is not installed on the server that functions as the mail client. It supports extended MAPI, and needs the client DLLs to be able to work with MAPI in a service.
