Memory Configuration on 64-bit

Hello,
Right now I have my SQL 2K on a 32-bit cluster w/ 16GB of memory. I have the /3GB switch, along with AWE, and Max server memory option enabled. We’re moving to a 64-bit server w/ 64-bit OS and 16GB memory. The SQL will still be 32-bit. Since the OS is 64-bit do I need to enable the /3GB switch? I’m under the assumption that you don’t have to do the /3GB switch since the 64-bit OS will see all the memory. Also, do I need to enable the AWE memory option and the max server memory option? Thanks in advance for your input.

don’t suppose you have sp4 installed? – SQL.Admin – US.Florida
if so… you may want to check out this article. FIX: Not all memory is available when AWE is enabled on a computer that is running a 32-bit version of SQL Server 2000 SP4
